APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR
SEARCH COMMITTEE NOTIFICATION
The Government of Tamil Nadu vide its Gazette notification No. 311 dt 16.8.2023 of
Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries & Fishermen Welfare Department {G.O.(D) No.513,
Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries & Fishermen Welfare Department (FS.2), dated
08.08.2023} has constituted a Search Committee to recommend a panel of three names to
the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor for appointment of Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu
Dr. J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam.
The Search Committee invites applications for the post of Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu
Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, from distinguished academicians with high level of
competence, integrity, moral and institutional commitment and possessing the educational
qualifications and work experience according to UGC guidelines and also as notified by the
Government of Tamil Nadu in their Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No.21 of 2012
(amended time to time) - Tamil Nadu Fisheries University Act dated 19th June 2012 (copy of
which is available in Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University website: www.tnjfu.ac.in).
The Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office for a period of three years (provided that the
person appointed as Vice-Chancellor shall retire from the office if, during the term of office,
he/she attains the age of 70 years).
Interested candidates possessing the qualifications and experience shall download the
prescribed application from the website of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University
(www.tnjfu.ac.in).
The filled in application in the prescribed format shall be sent by speed
post duly superscribing the Envelope "Application for the post of Vice-Chancellor,
Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University" so as to reach the following address,
on or before 5.00 p.m. of 24.10.2023.
